How to delete your TelemetryOS account, and what happens to your data

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This page explains how to delete your TelemetryOS account and the data associated with it. It applies to your account whether you use TelemetryOS through the Studio management portal at studio.telemetryos.com or through the TelemetryOS Companion apps for Android, iOS and macOS.

You do not need an account or an app to read this page or to make a request.

Delete specific content yourself

You can remove most content without deleting your account:

  • Media you uploaded — delete it from your media library, in TelemetryOS Studio or in the Companion apps, if your role includes media access. Deleting a file removes it from our servers.
  • Devices — delete a device from your account, in Studio or in the Companion apps, if your role includes device access. Moving a device to "No organization" only ungroups it; it stays on the account until you delete it.
  • Push notifications — turn them off in the Companion apps, which asks us to delete the notification token held for your device.
  • Your name and email address — update them yourself in TelemetryOS Studio under Settings → Account. The Companion apps show these details but cannot change them.

Request deletion of your whole account

To delete your TelemetryOS account and the personal data associated with it, email support@telemetryos.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", from the email address on the account.

Tell us:

  • the email address of the account to delete
  • your organization name, if you belong to more than one

We will confirm we have received your request, verify that it comes from the account holder, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

If your account belongs to an organization managed by someone else, we may need to confirm the request with that organization's administrator before deleting shared content such as devices and media that other members rely on. We will tell you if that applies.

What gets deleted

Deleted Detail
Your account and profile Email address, name, and account and user identifiers
Media you uploaded Files, images and video in your media library
Push notification tokens Removed from our servers on request. Already removed whenever you disable notifications or sign out, with a routine server-side cleanup as a backstop
Device pairings you created Devices are unlinked from the account. Pairing codes themselves are single-use and are not retained

Deleted content does not remain in our systems or backups for more than two months.

What may be retained, and why

We may keep a limited amount of information after deletion where we are required or permitted to:

  • records we must keep to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations
  • information needed to resolve a dispute, enforce our agreements, or investigate abuse or security incidents
  • aggregated or anonymized information that can no longer identify you

Anything retained for these reasons is kept only as long as the purpose requires.

Deactivating instead of deleting

If you want to stop using TelemetryOS but keep your data, ask us to deactivate your account rather than delete it. Deactivation is not deletion — your data is retained until you ask us to delete it.
